Candle Care: To enhance the life of your candle and get the best, cleanest burn, please trim your wick to 1/4 inch BEFORE EACH burn. To prevent heat damage to your container and/or surface, please stop burning when there's a 1/4 inch of wax left. Always burn on a candle safe dish and keep away from drafts, pets and children. Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. To put out your candle, use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame. NEVER USE WATER TO PUT OUT A CANDLE FLAME.
When choosing your candle size, please consider the room that you will be burning your candle in. Our 2 oz sample sizes are just that; they are meant to give you a sample of the scent and will not fill an entire room. Our 4 oz candle is meant for small spaces such as a bathroom or small den/work room. Our 10 oz glass jars are meant for medium spaces.
Each item is handmade in small batches. Because all of these items are handmade, they may have some imperfections that do not impact the quality of the candle.

Alexa, clean the house has a pleasant, fresh clean smell. Just wish she could actually clean the house! My husband asked, "Which candle are you using?". I replied, "girlfriend, clean the house". He was confused. We recently purchased an Echo Dot, which I say is his new girlfriend...he talks to her a lot! If I said the name of the candle, the Echo Dot would have responded! Fun times haha!

I have been online shopping for candles far too much and this is hands down the best one out of all the candles. First, let's name the fact that Smell of Love has the fastest service ever -- I emailed about ingredients back and forth with kind, thoughtful responses within a day (usually within the hour). I purchase with them and it arrives within 2 days. Granted, I'm in Northern VA and the company is in DC but nowhere else has been that fast -- even in my own town! Anyway, back to the scent. I passed over this smell my first order because I think "clean" candles quickly become some laundry smell. Luckily, Smell of Love included a sample (they always have a sample, which is just a great touch) in my order and I went back for more. This scent is a citrus combo that is grapefruit forward and softened with a sweetness that is hard to explain but not vanilla (I find vanilla sweetness can make something sickly sweet). The candle is strong but not overwhelming for one-room/working in an office for hours overpowering. If there is one complaint, I'd prefer a different wax that enables the candle to last longer but honestly it still lasts a good length of time. DEFINITELY WORTH THE PURCHASE
